Tottenham got itself a relatively plum draw in the FA Cup earlier this week, drawing a home match against Aston Villa in the Third Round. The advantage of drawing Villa, aside from the fact that they suck, is that they’re also a big team, which means that there was a much greater chance of the match ending up on television.
And that’s exactly what’s happened. The match at White Hart Lane has been scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2017, and the match is slated for a 4:00 pm London time (11:00 am Eastern) kick-off. The match will also be broadcast on BBC One, making it one of the Beeb’s choice matches for this round of the competition.
That’s good news if you’re in England, but what about us in the United States? No word yet, but the FA Cup is typically shown on Fox Sports. If it’s on the Beeb, it’s likely going to be at least streamed on Fox Soccer2Go, and probably on either Fox Sports 1 or 2. We’ll have to wait and see for now.
