Happy Monday, Hoddlers! Vince gets the day off today after spending all day yesterday helping his significant other move. I get it, that's enough to make anyone too tired to make a Hoddle.

Today is Monday, February 1, and it's Deadline Day of the transfer window. These are usually extremely busy and extremely fun days for the Carty Free Captain staff, though the level of madness is usually slightly less than its companion day in the summer. Even so, there are still Tottenham Hotspur deals hanging in the breeze today and that might (or might not!) be resolved today. Will Federico Fazio leave the club? Will Fulham cave and deal for Twossa Dembele? What about Saido "Little Bear" Berahino? Or maybe we'll see another "Levy Special" like Rafael van der Vaart or Son Heung-Min.

That's what I love about the deadline day: it's full of infinite possibilities, even though this is Spurs and we all know it will invariably end in disappointment and people Mad Online™.

And now, the news:

Tottenham Hotspur are young and hungry | The Telegraph

It's scary when you stop and think that Nacer Chadli, at age 26, is the Elder Statesman of the Tottenham first team.  It's super fun to watch these guys and know that many of them are barely old enough to drink (in the USA) and haven't even reached their prime. Related: I am old as f--k.

Who does your club need in the transfer window? | Sky Sports

There's a combination of duh and dumb in here, but if I'm permitted to answer the actual question, we need Messi.  But I'll settle for Gareth Bale back, thanks.

Poche: Wimmer is like Vertonghen, but younger | London 24

It's encouraging that Pochettino has this much confidence in our young hulking Austrian. Let's hope he lives up to our expectations.

Fox Sports has no clue where Everton is | SB Nation Soccer

Remember that time when Spurs were on Fox Sports 1 and their prematch graphic showed that Spurs were actually in the midlands? Well, they did it again. I mean, I guess if you're American it's okay if you confuse Liverpool and Bournemouth, but if you're putting it on the telly maaaaaaaybe you should start with Google.
