Don't expect any more fireworks from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day. Sky Sports journalist and Tottenham beat writer Lyall Thomas has essentially shut down any hope Spurs fans may have had for a last-minute signing after tweeting that Spurs have concluded their business and won't be buying or selling any more players.
Confirmation there will be no signings tonight and no further outgoings at #Tottenham #THFC

There was hope – fleeting, like a thing with feathers – that Spurs might yet pull out a last second save and go back in for Fulham striker Moussa Dembele or West Brom forward Saido Berahino. Nope. Instead, Spurs' sole addition to their side is an 18-year old midfielder from Ebbsfleet, Shilow Tracey.
So now, Spurs will roll with them that brought them here. Barring a heretofore unknown miracle Van der Vaart-esque signing, Spurs have just concluded the most boring transfer deadline day ever. Hooray?
