Tottenham Hotspur went to the Etihad for a showdown against recent nemesis Manchester City on Sunday, and came away with a thrilling 2-1 road victory. City have been dominant against Spurs in recent years; Spurs haven't won at the Etihad since 2010 when Peter Crouch scored late in the match to clinch Spurs' first ever Champions League berth.
Tottenham got a penalty goal from Harry Kane and a late goal from Christian Eriksen to seal the win over the Citizens. Kelechi Iheanacho scored City's only goal. The win keeps Spurs in second place over Arsenal via goal differential and, thanks to the Gunners' win over Leicester City, narrowed the Foxes' lead to a mere two points.
