Two months after winning the Asian Football Confederation's Footballer of the Year award, Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-Min has earned another major honor. Sonny was named "Best Footballer in Asia" for 2015 by Titan Sports, one of the largest sports media organizations in China. Spurs made the announcement on their website, and Sonny stated that he was honored to win.

"It was my dream to be voted the best player in Asia and I'm very happy about it. It's not easy to win but I'm very happy.

"It has been a very good couple of years for me but I need to keep going, I need to work very hard to stay in this position (as number one player in Asia) and I hope that I can stay there."

This is a big deal, as along with the AFC's award, it's one of the most important footballing awards available to Asian players. It's the second year in a row that Sonny has won the award; Keisuke Honda won the inaugural award in 2013.

Son has made 28 appearances for Tottenham this season, scoring five goals and dishing out five assists in all competitions. Prior to his joining Tottenham, he was a star for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 17 goals in all competitions in 2014-15.

Congratulations to Sonny on winning his second major award of the year!
