Tottenham Hotspur will face off against two European giants in the International Champions Cup in Melbourne, Australia this summer, and it looks like it's a tournament that is not to be missed. Spurs announced today that Atletico Madrid is the fourth and final team involved in the summer tournament, along with Juventus and A-League side Melbourne Victory.

Tottenham, Juventus, and Melbourne were already announced back in December, but the inclusion of Atletico makes this a particularly exciting opportunity for Spurs. Juventus are currently top of Serie A and are among the favorites to lift the Champions League trophy this Spring, while Atletico continue to throw their weight around and are competitive with Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish La Liga table.
Last summer, Spurs played Real Madrid and Inter Milan in the Audi Cup at the Allianz Arena in Germany, taking third in the competition. This time around, with Spurs soaring and very likely to be in the Champions League, this would be a wonderful pre-season test to see how well the team is coming together against top competition. The teams had previously indicated that, with league seasons starting just a couple of weeks after the ICC, they would bring strong, first choice sides Down Under.
Tottenham will play Juventus on July 26 at 8:00 p.m., and Atletico on July 29 at 8:00 p.m. local time. For more information and for ticket information, see the ICC's website. If you're an Aussie Spurs supporter, it's time to get excited!
