Tottenham March Madness: the Greatest Twitter Arguments Bracket

LET'S GET #MADONLINE!!

If there's one thing we can probably all agree on in this life, it's that Twitter is a wonderful terrible place to go to argue about football. The other thing we can all probably agree on is that the NCAA men's college basketball tournament (aka "March Madness") is the greatest sporting event in the history of ever. Except maybe the Champions League. Or the FA Cup. Or the Europa League, if we'd ever win it. But you know what I mean.

For those who may not be familiar with college basketball's annual spectacle, every year the 68 best college basketball teams in America square off in a gigantic seeded tournament to determine the annual national champion. It's a heck of a lot of fun and results in a lot of illegal gambling in the USA as Americans fill out brackets predicting who they think is going to win it all.

So with the first round proper of March Madness tipping off in the USA tomorrow, we thought this was a good opportunity for US to release brackets too! Earlier today, Kevin released the staff's Arsenal Twitter Arguments bracket. But this is a Tottenham Hotspur blog, so Spurs need one too, right?

And here it is. Note that this bracket was NOT leaked on Twitter before posting.

Seed Chirpy Region You'll Have to Ask the Chairman Region Archway Region #LevyOut Region
1 #WeNeedAStriker Play with two strikers up top Christian Eriksen doesn't score enough Daniel Levy is only in it for profit
2 Erik Lamela can't play the English game Ryan Mason is good/bad Is fourth place better than a trophy? Get our business done before deadline day
3 Leandro Damiao is The One Joe Lewis should spend more money Play the kids in Europa Milton Keynes or Wembley?
4 8th is better than 7th because Europa League is bad We should've kept Rafa van der Vaart Andros Townsend is good/bad Ticket prices are too high
5 "Spursy" Ledley King would've been the GOAT if not for Delap Tottenham break good players We could've kept Michael Carrick
6 Bring back the old Chirpy David Bentley was actually good I hate Chelsea/West Ham more than Arsenal There used to be a football club here
7 Start Danny Rose at LB Emmanuel Adebayor was misunderstood Jermaine Jenas was Actually Good We shouldn't have fired Martin Jol
8 Start Kyle Walker at RB We need more width in the side Was signing William Gallas a good thing? If I were Hugo, I'd leave
9 Start Kieran Trippier at RB If Kevin-Prince Boateng just got a chance... Don't care if we lose as long as we play good football Gareth Bale will come back some day
10 Start Ben Davies at LB Tom Huddlestone would destroy Serie A Will Arsenal implode when Wenger goes? The new stadium is s**t unless it has a Kop end
11 Was AVB actually good? "Yiddo" is racist Wouldn't be the worst thing if we signed Walcott End the Madrid partnership
12 At least Jamie O'Hara played for the shirt Play for the shirt We forgot the meaning of the FA Cup Preseason tours of America are bad
13 Modric didn't score Selling Steven Caulker was a mistake Tim Sherwood spoke some truth The NFL should f**k right off
14 Nacer Chadli is good/bad The Olympic Stadium is fine because it screws West Ham If Giovani dos Santos just got a chance... #AgainstModernFootball
15 We should've kept Sigurdsson Kyle Walker is very bad Roberto Soldado needs more time StubHub is satan/fine
16 Gomes is our best keeper We didn't deserve Gareth Bale Spurs just need more grit and heart to succeed These new kits are s**t

Just like the Arsenal bracket, this ain't no democracy. There's no voting, and we're deciding who wins, though you're free to lobby for your pick in the comments or on Twitter, and you can certainly argue about how wrong all of us are. It's like the player ratings threads, turned up to 11!

Have fun!
