Good morning.
I would like to state that my thoughts go out to the people of Brussels. What a terrible day to endure. I'd also like to extend that to anybody who is suffering violence on the domestic or state level. Our world is as harsh as it can be beautiful and no words I put here will make sense of it; I only wish to make my support known.
As for Spurs, it's the international break. There isn't much on pitch to discuss. On the other hand, at least we'll get some stupid transfer rumors this week to make fun of, or for some of us, take seriously. And don't let me be the killjoy of all fun. If transfer rumors are your thing, get excited. This is a new day at Spurs and we might actually sign some of these guys this summer!
No, I don't actually believe that, but that doesn't mean you can't! I fully support transfer window optimism, but refuse, for heart health reasons, to participate.
And now for the "news":
Le Tissier thinks Kane should start at the Euros| Daily Mail
At this point, the articles of interest are the people who would be championing Rooney starting. That is a story. This is just a ex-footballer saying reasonable things. Where's the fun in that?
Tottenham target talks about his chances of leaving Russia| Express
This is a good recycled rumor about exactly the type of player that Spurs supporters are clamoring to sign. It's almost as if the rags have a profile of a common fan and know how to manipulate their hopes and dreams into page clicks.
Sport narratives are usually way off| SB Nation Soccer
I'm not really sure Middlesbrough proved it, but it doesn't hurt the case.
