WATCH: Highlights of England's friendly loss to the Netherlands

Not as glorious for the Three Lions as the first match!

England played its second of two international friendlies in the current period against the Netherlands yesterday at Wembley Stadium, but it wasn't the glorious come-from-behind victory that the team experienced in Berlin. Playing a highly-rotated squad from the one that defeated World Cup holders Germany on Saturday, England instead limped to a disappointing 2-1 home loss to an underwhelming Dutch side.

Both Tottenham Hotspur fullbacks Kyle Walker and Danny Rose started the match for the Three Lions, with Dele Alli, Harry Kane, and Eric Dier all starting on the bench. Jamie Vardy scored England's only goal, a wide-open effort with the assist given by Walker. Vincent Janssen equalized for the Netherlands after Danny Rose handled the ball in the box, and Luciano Narsingh put the visitors ahead for good in the 77th minute.

It was not a great day for Danny Rose: besides giving up the penalty in the second half, he was lucky not to give up another one in the first half after he brought down Joël Veltman early in the first half. Otherwise, all five Tottenham Hotspur players earned caps after Alli, Kane, and Dier all coming in as late game substitutes. And they had to do it while wearing red socks.

In addition to highlights, FATV also released a "tunnel-cam" video from yesterday's match. It's neat if you like that kind of thing.
