Well, that was a North London Derby that certainly lived up to the hype! Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane on Saturday in a result that was wonderful for the neutrals (and Leicester City fans) but disappointing to both Gunners and Spurs supporters.
Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring early in the first half for Arsenal with a gorgeous back-heel flick past Hugo Lloris, and the Gunners carried that slim lead into halftime despite Spurs dominating much of the match, both in terms of possession and shots.
The second half was madness: Francis Coquelin picked up his second yellow midway through the half and Spurs turned that into an impressive spell during which they scored two goals: one by Toby Alderweireld, and a scorcher of a shot by Harry Kane at the edge of the penalty area. Despite being down a man, Arsenal battled back and equalized late after Alexis Sanchez took advantage of some poor Spurs defending.
