Dele Alli had a weird day yesterday. Sure, he played incredibly well, scoring a brace in helping Spurs beat Stoke 4-0 at the Brittania Stadium and close the gap on Leicester City to five points. But he also had one of the most incredible open goal misses since Fernando Torres in 2012.
You didn't think his best friend Eric Dier would let THAT opportunity pass, did you? NOPE.

Unsurprising news is unsurprising. Alli did SO WELL in that play up to that point, rounding a geriatric Shay Given and shooting from close range with the entire goal mouth gaping. For him to put it off the outside of the post like that has to put that play in the running for the Barn d'Or Award.
Dele's not one to take that kind of banter lying down, though. He fired back quickly enough with his own riposte, essentially the "SCOREBOARD!" of football goal YouTube tweets.
