The FA announced today that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been suspended for the final three matches of the 2015-16 Premier League season. The ban comes down after an incident in Monday's 1-1 draw with West Brom, in which the 20-year-old lashed out at Claudio Yacob with his fist. The FA deemed that to be violent conduct and levied the mandatory suspension ending Alli's season.
Dele Alli is to serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after accepting an FA charge.

It's a sour end to an otherwise phenomenal season for the youngster. He's lit the Premier League on fire with his dazzling skills, but has let his temper get the best of him on a few occasions. This time it cost him.
Alli took to his Twitter account and issued this remorseful apology:
Gutted that my season is over. Shouldn’t have reacted like I did. Will learn from this and come back stronger.

This will be a learning moment for the uber-talented midfielder. It's easy to be mad at him for his actions that have cost him and his team, but we have to remember he's still just 20 years old. Hopefully he adjusts to this and it's the last we see of any boneheaded violent actions on the pitch.
