Victorious Jamie Vardy trolls Harry Kane with Lion King tweet

Except Vardy clearly hasn't watched this movie for a while.

Remember when Harry Kane posted an Instagram picture of a pack of lions when Spurs were starting to catch up to Leicester City a few weeks ago? Jamie Vardy sure did. Minutes after the conclusion of Tottenham Hotspur's 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge that gave Leicester City its first ever Premier League title, the Foxes' talismanic striker took to Twitter to essentially twist the knife in Kane's gut.

So, fair play to Vardy on this one. That sure is a clever comeback after Leicester sealed the deal after not winning themselves at the weekend. It really is something when the King of the Savannah perishes at the paws of a lesser lion due to deceit, trickery, and treachery, isn't it?

Here's the thing about the Lion King, though: the movie doesn't end with Scar winning.

Instead, the Big Bad, who only got to the top by a combination of luck and dirty play, gets everything good taken away from him while his evil corpse is devoured by hyenas.

Are those vultures I see circling over N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez? Great metaphor, Jamie! Let's do this again.
