Tottenham Hotspur fullback Ben Davies got the start for Wales today in their opening match of the Euro 2016. Just three minutes into the match vs. Slovakia, the Spurs left back made his presence known in a very dramatic way.
Napoli's star midfielder Marek Hamsik looked set to get his side off to a dream start with a brilliant run and what looked as if it would be a great goal. His shot beat the Wales goalkeeper, but there arrived Davies just shy of the goal line to save his side from going down a goal early.

His clutch clearance gave Wales a shot in the arm as not eight minutes later they would grab the lead through some guy named Gareth Bale. He seems like a decent player.

It was Wales' first ever goal in the European Championships and it was all set up by Ben Davies' early heroics.
