The group matches of the European Championships in France is complete, and the stage is now set for the first round of knock-out matches. Tottenham Hotspur continues to be well-represented in Euro 2016, with ten of 11 Spurs players booking their tickets to the Round of 16.
England, which features Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker, and Danny Rose, will play Iceland on Monday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. (8 p.m. London) at the Stade Allianz Riviera in Nice.
Meanwhile, Belgium, featuring Mousa Dembele, Toby Alderweireld, and Jan Vertonghen, advance to play Hungary on Sunday, June 26 at 3:00 p.m. ET (8 pm London) in Toulouse. Ben Davies & Wales will face another Home Nation in Northern Ireland on Saturday, June 25 at noon (5 pm London), while Hugo Lloris and hosts France will face Ireland on Sunday, June 26 at 9 a.m. (2 p.m. London) in Lyon.
The only Tottenham player who did NOT progress was Kevin Wimmer’s Austria, and it’s their own damn fault for barely playing him.
Crazily, Germany, Italy, England, France, and Spain are all on the same side of the knock-out bracket, which will make for some very difficult match-ups as the rounds progress.
Here’s the full schedule for the Round of 16. All times Eastern.
