Wales vs. Northern Ireland Euro 2016 live stream: game time, TV channels, and how to watch online

Croatia and Portugal may be the must-watch game, but the “little guys” get a chance to shine early.

Who’s ready for some KNOCK-OUT FOOTBALL? The European Championships are back in action today, and it starts off today on the non-pants-on-head crazy side of the bracket.

The opening matches are between Switzerland/Poland and Wales/Northern Ireland, all four teams that, while perhaps not impressing per se in their group stage matches (except for Poland, who were great), have all done enough to progress, and that’s really what’s important. What’s really fun is that one of Northern Ireland and Wales is going to move on to the quarterfinals and have a legitimate shot at making the semis.

The highlight of the day has to be Portugal vs. Croatia. If there are non-Belgium heavyweights on this side of the tournament, it’s these two, and it’s a bit of a shame that they have to meet so early in the knock-out rounds. Croatia has looked fan-bloody-tastic in the group stages, and will be hoping to bottle more Cristiano Ronaldo tears.

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They're bad and they get us in trouble. Violators will be warned or banned.
  • We have rules against "relentless negativity." Nobody likes a Negative Nancy. Don't knee-jerk and post outlandish or hurtful things just because you're frustrated.
  • Along those lines, outright abuse of players or match officials is verboten. It's fine to say "wow, that's a bad call, match official," but it's NOT okay to direct copious amounts of abuse in the direction of said official over a call you did not like.
  • Treat other people in the match thread the way you would want someone else to treat your grandmother. Be nice. Observe Wheaton's Law. This is a community of fans, not an un-moderated message board.
  • NO SPIDERS!!
  • Finally, while we don't have a rule against profanity, please try and keep the naughty words in check. Nobody loves a potty mouth. Also, language that is sexist, racist, or homophobic in nature will be swiftly deleted and you will be immediately banned. This is an open, supportive community.
