Christian Eriksen might not be in the European Championships, but he's certainly lighting up the international fixtures. Denmark, under the leadership of new manager Åge Hareide, were competing in the Kirin Cup, an international tournament held in Japan, and those great Danes flattened Bulgaria yesterday 4-0 behind a hat trick from Tottenham Hotspur's dynamic attacking midfielder.
Oh, did I mention that Eriksen scored all three of his goals in ten minutes? Yeah, he did that too.
Here are the goal highlights.

Bulgaria's not a very good team, as evident by the quality of their defense, but those are three well-placed goals by Eriksen. I especially like the third goal -- check out that incredible assist from Viktor Fischer -- as Eriksen dinked in a lovely finish just past the arms of Bulgarian keeper Bozhidar Mitrev from an acute angle.
This match was the third place match of the Kirin Cup; Denmark had previously lost to eventual champions Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 3 in a penalty shootout. I assume they took home some sort of trophy or something, whatever.
If there's a silver lining to not being able to watch Eriksen and Denmark take on Europe's best international teams in the Euros this month, it's that Christian will get a nice rest this summer and will be refreshed and ready for (hopefully) another Tottenham title challenge next season. Eriksen seems like he's looking forward to a little down time.
Not every day i score 3 goals in 10 minutes Couldnt be a better finish to the season. Now looking forward to some rest and sunshine ☀️
