Tottenham has announced the signing of Kevin Wimmer to a new contract until 2021. With news that Eric Dier is getting a new contract soon as well, it seems the club is giving out more wage money to keep this squad locked down for the next couple of years.. With the money from the NFL and the new stadium expected in the near future, we can definitely afford it.

Wimmer was signed to a 5 year contract from Bundesliga side FC Köln last summer. He made 21 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions last season, notably being a strong replacement for the injured Jan Vertonghen halfway through the season.

It’s good to see this young core of players being kept together after a successful season. With this new contract, getting a Wimmer jersey is probably a safe investment for the near future. He’s not going anywhere soon.
