Tottenham Hotspur had an up and down friendly match against Juventus. Erik Lamela was one of the “ups” as he scored a beauty of a goal past Juventus keeper Neto to get Spurs on the scoreboard in Melbourne.
That’s a peach of a shot, right in the bottom right corner. Also, we should totally mention that nice assist from Victor Wanyama. It took a slight deflection, but it was right where it needed to be and Lamela took full advantage.
Lamela and Wanyama look to be continuing their strong form from last season. Lamela in particular found his scoring boots this summer while on international duty with Argentina in the Copa America Centenario, and Wanyama’s pass is a good sign that Spurs may not miss too much with Moussa Dembele out the first four matches of the season through suspension.
Nice work, gentlemen.
