Here’s the latest on the ongoing transfer saga involving Olympique Marseille’s Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, and the loan of Clinton N’Jie back to OM. According to a short article in L’Equipe today, things seem to be finally heading towards a conclusion after N’Jie received his visa on Friday. The reports say that the clubs have been working hard to finalize the transfer, but that the two players are starting to get frustrated by the lack of resolution.
We haven’t written about the N’Jie and N’Koudou transfer sagas for a while now. Frankly, they’ve become tiresome and contradictory, and until there was some actual movement it seemed prudent to wait until there was an actual development.
So does this count? Well, N’Jie getting a visa does seem rather significant. If N’Jie coming in was the major sticking point to the transfer of N’Koudou, then that’s a major hurdle cleared.
There have been reports that N’Jie has been working through a minor injury which may have also been impeding his loan back to France. Sky’s Lyall Thomas confirmed this on Twitter, saying that he’s still with the Tottenham squad, for now.

Clinton was also recently featured in an Instagram photo posted by Moussa Dembele, which led some to speculate whether he might be staying at Spurs after all.
Note that N’Jie is not, in fact, smiling.
