According to French daily paper L’Equipe, Tottenham Hotspur and Marseille have reached an agreement in principle on a deal that will send Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to Spurs and forward Clinton N’Jie back to OM.
While financial details have not been disclosed, the N’Koudou is still in London and will supposedly sign a five year contract with Spurs, while N’Jie heads the other way on loan with an option to purchase at the end of the 2016-17.
Wow, deja vu. Have I written this story before? I think I’ve written this story before. The details seem so familiar. It’s hard to penetrate the mists of time that drift back to the halcyon days of early July when Spurs were first linked to Georges-Kevin N’Koudou. Heady times, those were. Days of wine and roses.
Or have we already signed N’Koudou? Did I see him getting out of a black SUV at Spurs Lodge? Didn’t Pochettino literally just say today that N’Jie is still in his plans for the season? Did he play against Everton? It’s so difficult to recall.
My mind is hazy, and I feel faint. Am I entering a trance? Will I awaken in a few weeks to find that Tottenham are still managed by Andre Villas-Boas, Harry Kane was sold to Norwich, and Arsenal have just won the Premier League?
Has it finished? Am I drunk? How many fingers are you holding up? What’s my name again?
