Here’s some good news as we mark the beginning of the 10-day countdown to kickoff against Everton: Jan is back in training:

No news on whether or not he’ll be fit for the opener or not. Plus Kevin Wimmer has proven that he is a more than capable deputy in that left-sided center back role. That said, it’s always good to see one of your team’s top players back in training after an injury scare. And since we’ll be facing Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in only the third game of the season, it’s particularly nice to see Jan back in training ahead of schedule. Here’s hoping he’s fit for Liverpool.
