It looks like Ryan Mason is leaving Tottenham Hotspur, but his actual destination might have just changed. Northern Echo journalist Scott Wilson just tweeted that Mason is set to have a medical today... but not at Sunderland as previously reported, but with Hull City, the club where he was originally linked.
Ryan Mason has arrived at Hull for medical - so #SAFC have missed out there. Calum Chambers on Teesside for his #Boro medical.

Considering it was the Northern Echo that reported yesterday that Mason was set for a medical with David Moyes and the Black Cats, I’m now very confused. Something obviously changed with regards to Mason’s transfer, but as of now we don’t know exactly what that is. Sunderland’s bid was an attempted “gazumping” of Hull’s interest, but as of yesterday it looked like it was a successful one.
If I had to guess I’d say that Hull decided to stump up and out-bid Sunderland on wages. The Echo said that Sunderland had agreed to pay Mason £40k/week.
So for now, we’ll have to wait and see where Ryan Mason actually lands. But for now, the dream of the Mason-Huddlestone-Livermore Tottenham Hullspur midfield lives on.
