Tottenham Hotspur have surprised a lot of Spurs supporters this summer by working hard to get their transfer business completed well ahead of the Premier League season. Considering that Euro 2016 is still going on with the finals rolling on Sunday, Spurs continued their push to upgrade their squad by confirming the transfer of Olympique de Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou to North London.
Finally, we are delighted to announce the signing of @gknkoudou from Marseille. #NkoudouSigns pic.twitter.com/XZ92CIGU2V

While American Golden boy Ryan Lochte finishes preparing to bring Olympic glory back to the United States in the swimming pool, Spurs made sure to lock down the services of the 21-year-old from France. N'Koudou made 28 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last season, picking up five goals and six assists in roughly 2100 minutes of league play for Les Phocéens, playing on both the right and left wings. It's this kind of versatility that Mauricio Pochettino seems to crave as N'Koudou is two footed and will provide a great injection of pace into the Tottenham attack. So, rest easy everyone. Instead of worrying about a Spurs transfer, the American fans on here can worry about Katie Ledecky maybe not living up to the hype or if Michael Phelps is washed up or not.
The reported fee for the transfer is £10.9m, or about a tenth of what it cost to make the upcoming title that everyone will enjoy, No Man's Sky, and appears to have been agreed upon rather quickly. There have been issues with Marseille requiring a player to replace N'Koudou before allowing the transfer to happen held things up, though. N'Koudou fits Spurs' needs perfectly and with Clinton NJie possibly moving in return, everything should move quickly and smoothly. There's no more reason to think the deal will be delayed than you'd expect Arsenal legend Jack Wilshere to fall out of favor at his boyhood club. At least there were no snags here and he'll get some time in the International Champions Cup in Australia!
While most of the internationals for Spurs are out of the Euros and on vacation, at least some players will still be there to greet N'Koudou at White Hart Lane, such as Nacer Chadli, DeAndre Yedlin, and Ryan Mason, given they're all making the trip to Australia and will feature for Spurs in the preseason tournament. Join me in welcoming Georges-Kevin N'Koudou to Tottenham Hotspur!

Editor's Note: Before you even mention it....yes, that's the joke and I'm glad the club decided to join in on the banter.
