Tottenham Hotspur social media seems to be... well, let’s just call it “upset” over Spurs’ moves in the transfer market here at the tail end of the window. There’s a perception that Spurs are mortgaging their future by offloading a bunch of players at the end of the window with nobody left to replace them, and a sense of resignation that Spurs might be more or less done in this window.
But maybe not! Take it away, Lyall Thomas!
Can't rule out more at this stage. Told the chairman + co are still busy working away at it... https://t.co/NGNQiIsfLW— Lyall Thomas (@SkySportsLyall) August 31, 2016
I can almost imagine Daniel Levy hunched over a desk with cell phone in one hand, fax machine cranking away to his left.
Who are these mystery players that the club might sign? No clue. But remember, Son Heung-Min rumors didn’t turn up until late in the window, and neither did the Rafael van der Vaart rumors. There’s still a chance that Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino can pull a rabbit out of their hat before the window slams shut.
Hold on to your butts! This window ain’t over yet.
