WATCH: Son’s clever finish gives Spurs lead vs. Stoke City

He’s back!

Heung-Min Son is back from international duty and has been inserted straight into the lineup by Mauricio Pochettino. The South Korean proved why just 40 minutes into his season debut by putting Tottenham Hotspur into the lead over Stoke City with a fine finish:

It’s been a rather lackluster beginning to the match with both sides scuffing chances on each end. However, Son is back and didn’t waste his chance in front of goal. Christian Eriksen did very well to find him with a hard cross from the left flank. Son stuck out a foot and poked it past Shay Given in the Stoke net.

It’s an important goal away from home. This one will likely be a tight affair the rest of the way. Let’s hope Spurs can hold on to the slim lead and buckle down defensively.
