A season after Tottenham Hotspur went to Stoke City and won 4-0, Spurs again went to bet365 Stadium... and again won 4-0. Tottenham got two goals from Son Heung-Min, and added goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane as Spurs put together a solid second half of football to blow the Potters out of their own stadium.
This was Son’s first match for Tottenham this season. He missed most of Spurs’ preseason preparation and didn’t play in the first three league games due to his participation in the Rio Olympic football tournament with his native South Korea. But he made the most of his return, starting and going the full 90 minutes and putting Stoke’s defense to the sword on the counterattack.
Kane’s goal was also his first of the season and helped assuage fears that he was out of form after a poor start to the year. Kane’s second half point-blank goal was his 50th Premier League goal in 90 appearances in his short career.
