Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League return isn’t exactly going as we’d expected. Going down 2-0 in the first half has dampened spirits a bit, but a goal on the stroke of half-time by Toby Alderweireld has brought Spurs back into the match with a chance:

Erik Lamela’s in-swinging corner was met by the head of the Belgian defender and the attempt flew past the Monaco goalkeeper to bring the score to 2-1. It’ll be an important half-time team talk for Maurico Pochettino as the club look to mark their return to the Champions League with a win at Wembley Stadium.
After a lethargic start, you can bet Spurs will be all-in in the second half to grab the three points and open up group play right.
