Danny Rose signs new five year contract with Tottenham Hotspur

New signings? Forget that, it’s about new contracts.

The contracts keep coming! Today Tottenham Hotspur announced on social media that starting left back Danny Rose has signed a new five year deal that will keep him at the club through the 2021 season. Details about his new wages were not disclosed.

I’ve lost count of how many new player contracts Spurs have announced. Just about the only ones missing have been Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane, and it wouldn’t surprise me if those are announced here shortly as well.

Of all the players on Tottenham’s roster, Danny Rose has perhaps been the one to benefit the most from Mauricio Pochettino’s management. When Poche arrived, he reportedly told Danny, who had been an inconsistent performer up to that point, that he was going to get him into the England squad. Since then, Rose has improved to the point where not only has he made the England squad, he’s turned into one of if not the left backs in English football.

And let’s not forget where it all began for Danny.

Contracts for everyone!
