Let’s check in with Clinton N’Jie! Tottenham Hotspur’s Cameroonian winger is spending the season on loan at Olympique Marseille in what was apparently a condition of the deal that brought Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to White Hart Lane this summer.
The former Lyon man has worked his way into OM’s side, and by all accounts is doing quite well. He scored his first goal for Marseille this past weekend in a 2-1 home win over Nantes. Here’s his goal, assisted by former Swansea striker Bafetembi Gomis.

That’s a nice looking run, a good pass from Gomis, and an even better strike from the top of the box from Clinton. Nicely done.
The odds are very good that, no matter how good N’Jie is with Marseille, he’s unlikely to return to White Hart Lane when his loan is completed. There’s reportedly an option to purchase in his contract if he meets certain conditions. Kind of a shame: N’Koudou is still a little raw, and with matches coming thick and fast for Spurs, we might have made use of Clinton this week.
