That’s a beat-down.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies got an amazing result on Sunday as they opened up their defense of their FA Women’s Premier League Cup title, blowing past West Ham 10-0 at Thurrock FC’s Ship Lane ground.

Spurs got braces from Nikita Whinnett and Kelley Blanchflower, and also got goals from Lucia Leon, Eatha Pond, Bianca Baptiste, Wendy Martin, Renee Hector, and captain Jenna Schillaci in their comprehensive dismantling of the Hammers.

Last season was a particularly good one for Spurs Ladies. They made it to three cup finals in 2015-16, winning two of them: the Ryman Cup with a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic, and last year’s Women’s Premier League Cup in a shoot-out victory over Cardiff. They lost the Capital One Cup final to Charlton in late April.

Juan Carlos Amaros’ women have gotten off to an excellent start here in the cup. It’s their second win in as many games in all competitions; they opened up their FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division account with a 4-1 win over Swindon Town on August 28. The FAWPL is the third division of the English women’s soccer pyramid behind the two divisions of the Football Association Women's Super League.

Congrats to Spurs Ladies on a dominant win!
