So “sources,” (read: The S**), say that City and United, amongst others, want our fullback duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. And hahahahaha.
Fun Hoddle activity for today: Imagined conversations between Man City, Man United, and Daniel Levy as they try to sign our fullbacks who are both under contract for the next five years.
If I recall, the last time we sold a key player to an English rival was Dimitar Berbatov—and that was in September of 2008. Since then we’ve had a handful of key players linked with moves to major English clubs, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale most notably, and Levy has simply refused to sell. It’s hard to see this story playing out any differently than the others have in the eight years since Berba’s sale.
