Let’s talk about the weekend schedule. It’s a pretty soft schedule save our match at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon. Liverpool hosts Swansea, Man United travels to Stoke, Arsenal hosts Burnley, and Chelsea host Hull.
There are a couple ways of looking at this, I suppose: Other top six rivals will have rough weekends during the upcoming soft schedule that Spurs have and so it’s not a huge deal if we drop points relative to those rivals this weekend. That said, another way—and the one I prefer—is to say that we have a decent chance against a slumping City side and if Burnley or Stoke spring a surprise (Swansea and Hull ain’t happening) then all the better. How are y’all feeling? You think Stoke or Burnley can steal a result?
