Perhaps it’s a tell tale sign of being an American Premier League fan, but I have a really hard time getting excited about League or FA Cup ties until the semifinals or thereabouts. Add to this the fact that the match this weekend is against Wycombe and that several of our key players are out injured and... well, I’m not terribly excited. Given that, today seems like a good one for extended links in the Hoddle. Here you go:
The Links:
The Bundesliga has an interesting tie this weekend as second-placed RB Leipzig face third-placed Hoffenheim in a clash between two unlikely Champions League contenders.
Futbolgrad looks back on Samuel Eto’o’s time at Anzhi Makhachkala.
Millwall won their legal battle with local developers.
Is Ronaldo good at free kicks again?
Relegation could spell doom for Sunderland.
Alexandre Pato now could be the latest big-name Brazilian to head to the Chinese Super League. (I will forever have a soft spot for Pato because my favorite FIFA 11 team ever was an AC Milan side I built with Pato and Ibrahimovic joined with Van Persie, who I signed from Arsenal. 3-4-3, Pato and RVP running inside channels off of Ibra’s hold-up play... I cracked 100 goals in Serie A.)
