Good morning, Hoddlers. If you are American, your long holiday weekend is now over and it’s back to the salt mines for you, citizen! If you are not American, you might have been just waiting for the Americans to get back so the Hoddle picks up again.

Only 30 days left until Christmas!

For your theme of the day: you get some Dolly Parton, one of the greatest — and strangely underrated — singer/songwriters in American history. She’s been maligned throughout her career for her looks, but she is an American institution. I love her. Here’s one of her lesser known (but still great) songs.

Some morning links:

The Danny Rose rumors aren’t going away, but the Telegraph thinks that Spurs will target Fulham fullback Ryan Sessegnon if Rose does f—k off to Manchester or wherever. Caveat: this story is from Matt Law.

The World Cup draw is this week, and Harry Kane says England don’t fear anyone. Except penalty kicks. And possibly Iceland.

AC Milan have fired Vincenzo Montella. His replacement? None other than our old Joe Jordan-choking friend, Gennaro Gattuso.

Finally, Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku may face a retrospective ban after he was adjudged to have kicked out at Brighton defender Gaetan Bong. I mean really, if you have to kick a Bong, try going to rehab first, this seems extreme.
