It’s actually all football related today!

Hello, everyone!

Toby Alderweireld has made progress during his road to recovery, Victor Wanyama is expected to return during the festive period, Davinson Sanchez is back in contention for tomorrow’s match, and we’ve made it to the end of the week!

Now, let’s ramble.

Ramble of the Day

Here’s an easy little ramble today, since I accidentally spent most of yesterday off the internet. Let’s take a peek at this fun little video from the club. Do watch it if you haven’t; it’s rather entertaining.

Please skip to the links if you’re waiting to watch it and don’t want spoilers!

A few questions I had watching the video:

  • Why didn’t any of them just do Dele Alli’s wave when doing impressions of him? (Maybe that would have been too easy.)
  • What movie is Mark Wahlberg most known for? The Departed? The Fighter, possibly? Transformers: Whatever the One(s) He’s in is (are) Called? Boogie Nights, maybe? Perhaps he’s more well known for his Marky Mark days? (Maybe that’s a generational thing.) He genuinely seems like a difficult person to guess in this type of game.
  • Why did Jan Vertonghen have to try and sing Adele?
  • Do Paulo Gazzaniga and Toby Aldereweireld compare notes on hair gel?

Now that all of those very important questions are out there, let’s head to the links.

Links of the Day

Ajax have fired head coach Marcel Keizer after only six months in the job.

Mathias Jorgensen is buying all of the Huddersfield fans that travel to Southampton this weekend a drink.

Bayer Leverkusen coach Heiko Herrlich dove during a match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. He has since apologized.

The longer read of the day: Paulinho’s life story thus far, in which he calls Tim Sherwood a “good coach.”
