Happy Boxing Day!

Hi, Hoddle people!

I hope Christmas was nice to those of you that celebrated it. I also hope that anyone celebrating Kwanzaa enjoys their holiday. I would also like to wish everyone a very happy match day.

Now, for the ramble, which is about films again!

Ramble of the Day

As I’ve mentioned before, I like to watch movies. Now, there are plenty of options when it comes to watching Christmas movies, but yesterday, I decided not to watch an old classic, but a more recent production.

The movie was A Christmas Prince. It’s possible that you know it as the awful Christmas movie on Netflix. I do love awful movies (sometimes as much as I love great movies, but in a different way), so I had to give this one some of my time. Here’s the trailer, if you have not seen it:

Looks terrible, right? Trust me, it’s worse than the trailer lets on. I will not spoil it, because there is so much to digest with A Christmas Prince. It’s unrealistic at almost every turn, so much so that it’s somewhat impressive.

All I’ll say is you should be prepared for, among other things:

  • horrible dialogue
  • a terrible depiction of journalism
  • a Manuel Neuer knockoff
  • a royal palace with some very small rooms
  • questionable acting

I’ll leave it there and save the rest for your viewing pleasure. Let’s get to those links.

Links of the Day

Mauricio Pochettino is calling this season a transition year for the club as they spend the season away from a true home stadium.

Celtic’s Moussa Dembélé may be headed to Brighton in January.

The Guardian came out with a list of the year’s top 100 footballers. Five Spurs players appear on it.
