Tottenham Hotspur had absolutely no pressure to get anything out of today’s match against APOEL in Wembley Stadium, as they have already clinched their Champions League group and are guaranteed on to the round of 16. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t still things to prove!
Spurs put a highly rotated side out for their final home match of the group stage and were rewarded with two first half goals. First, Fernando Llorente (GASP) ACTUALLY SCORED with a beautiful little turn and finish, his first ever goal in a Spurs shirt.

Then, before halftime, Llorente got on the assist sheet, doing a little one-two with Son Heung-Min and cueing up the South Korean for a wonderful strike into the back of the net to double Spurs’ lead.

That’s it, job done. Time to see some kids! Put on Kazaiah Sterling, Kyle Walker-Peters, and Luke Amos for the second half, or we riot.
