Abbreviated Hoddle today after a busy night for me. Just one question: What’s your prediction for tomorrow? I am not feeling hopeful. The absences of Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen hurt us a ton, but even fully fit we are a bad matchup with Liverpool. For those reasons, I think Liverpool win 2-0 and get the result that could rescue their season.

We suffer a set back but, as Poche has said, it won’t be decisive. It’s at Anfield. We’re short-handed defensively due to injuries. We’re facing a team set up to give a team like us trouble. The decisive point in Liverpool’s favor figures to be Sadio Mane up against Davies on the wing, but even that is no sign of long-term concern for us given that Davies is the backup.
