The league it is, then.

Well, we know how we’ll qualify for next year’s Champions League if we qualify at all: It will be via the league.

Truth be told, I’m not too bothered. If we aren’t going to win the Europa League, I’d rather us go out now than in the quarterfinals after playing six Thursday evening fixtures. This guarantees us a maximum of three non-league fixtures for the rest of the season, one of which would come after the end of the Premier League season if we made it to the FA Cup final. Given how tight the league figures to be, fewer fixtures is very good news.

What’s more, if we were going to go out, at least we could do it while playing quite well for the most part. The three at the back system is obviously the best one for this team and it is encouraging to see the team continue to look dangerous when playing in it.

Claudio Ranieri is out at Leicester. Who will replace him? Don’t cry for Claudio.
