Spurs have a match on Saturday! It’s a rather big one, actually, as Tottenham Hotspur head to Anfield to take on a Liverpool side against which Spurs have drawn in their last three encounters. And as is customary, today Mauricio Pochettino has given an update on Spurs’ injury situation.
The bad news is that Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, and Erik Lamela continue to rehabilitate from their various injuries.
There is good news, though: everyone is positive!

Poch confirmed on Spurs’ website that Rose and Vertonghen will not travel to Anfield, but notably said that Vertonghen could rejoin first team training as soon as next week. So that’s good. Kieran Trippier has also recovered from the hip injury he picked up against Wycombe, which means Kyle Walker has his rotation player back. Its unlikely that Trippier will feature against Liverpool on Saturday, but he is likely to make the bench.
Erik Lamela, meanwhile, continues his step-by-step recovery from being dead.
