Leaked schedule shows Tottenham are bound for the USA this summer

Tottenham Hotspur spent last summer participating in the International Champions Cup, a preseason tournament that is a way for overseas fans to see their favorite clubs while also being a blatant cash grab for everyone involved. While we don’t care about the second part because we get to see our clubs play, what we do care about is their upcoming location, and Tottenham Hotspur have been rumored to be looking at the United States again.

The ICC hasn’t officially announced anything just yet, but thanks to a leak online and some poor website manager’s inability to hide schedules, it looks as though Spurs to the U.S. is all but confirmed. The link I’ve posted above is supposed to show only last year’s results, but it looks like someone got a little ahead of themselves and posted the upcoming schedule. Here it is below:

International Champions Cup schedule

Spurs look to be doing a whirlwind eight day tour that takes them to Orlando, taking on Paris Saint-Germain. They’ll follow that up by heading towards the New York / New Jersey area for a match with AS Roma. The tour looks to wrap up in Nashville, Tennesse, where Spurs will play fellow English Premier League side Manchester City.

Unfortunately for those in the western half of the United States, it’ll be a rough tour as everything is east of the Mississippi.

There’s no word on if Spurs will play more matches outside of these for the preseason, but given how late that final match is in Nashville, I doubt there will be anything other than perhaps a behind closed doors match with a lower league side.

Either way, start making your plans as Spurs are coming back to the States!
