Can Spurs top the Blues?

Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur - Capital One Cup Final Photo by Clive Rose/Getty Images

I don’t have too much to say ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup match against Chelsea. That said, here are a few scattered observations:

  • One matchup to watch will be how Chelsea tries to contain Dele Alli. The last time these teams met Dele struck twice. On both goals, there were communication issues between Cesar Azpilicueta and Victor Moses on Chelsea’s right wing.
  • Do you want to see us in the Dierbele 4-2-3-1 or the 3-5-2 we used last time we faced Chelsea?
  • The last time we played a crunch spring fixture against Chelsea they basically broke us. We played on the brink the entire first half, somehow went ahead 2-0, only to squander that lead in the second half. This fixture will help us see how much the team has matured in the past 12 months.
