So if you wrote a script for the way we wanted to say goodbye to the Lane... that’s just about it, isn’t it? We win. We clinch second. Harry gets the final Spurs goal at the Lane and match winner. There’s a friggin rainbow over the stadium as the ceremony wraps up... not sure how to top that.
Looking to the rest of the Premier League, most of the interesting battles are already sorted heading into Championship Sunday. We know the champions and second place. We know the three sides going down. The only interesting battle left is the race for top four which features Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal. If City and Liverpool win out, they’ll finish in the top four. But if Liverpool drop points to ‘Boro next week and Arsenal wins each of their final two games, then the Gunners will have somehow farted their way into the top four. On the bright side, maybe that means Arsene Wenger will stick around?
