Kit leaks are fun, and now that we have a pretty good idea what Nike’s new home shirts for 2017-18 are going to look like, there’s still the question of the third and away kits.
Well, if a recent leak on Twitter is any indication, the Tottenham Hotspur 2017-18 away kits are going to look an awful lot like the homes.

That’s more or less what I expected. The original Footy Headlines leaks suggested a mostly dark blue kit, and that seems to be what we have here. Assuming the homes are accurate, and thus far I haven’t seen or heard anything to suggest that they aren’t, the aways look like they’re exactly the same. They appear to have the same collar, the same detailing under the arm, the same cockerel-in-shield logo. They’re just... blue.
And hey, that’s not necessarily a bad thing! The logo is white, for starters, and that looks pretty sharp. I’m also a sucker for a slick, all-dark blue kit without a lot of extra weird color details, which we haven’t seen in a while. In fact I think you’d probably have to go back to the 2007-2008 away kits to get anything close to what these look like. I liked those kits.
I kind of like these, too! I hope they’re real. I also hope they wear them more than one or two times during the season. What do you think?
