Hi, Hoddlers. Jake has unexpected internet issues at home, so apologies for the late Hoddle.
Today is my last day at my day job for a month. I work at a small college and had my contract adjusted due to a series of austerity measures taking place in order to create a balanced budget. The end result is that I will have summers off to spend with my family, and that beginning tomorrow I will no longer be sitting at a computer all day.
It’s kind of a bummer financially, but does mean that I get to spend summers doing things with my family, and that’s pretty great. If you have a family that you love and that you enjoy being with, I highly recommend spending time with them. It’s lovely.
What does that mean for CFC? Probably not much. It means that I won’t be sitting with a Slack room open for much of the work day, and that members of the CFC staff will probably be doing a larger share of the day to day writing on the site for the next four weeks. I’ll still be around, and I’ll still be contributing. It just may be with a touch less frequency for a while.
Here are a few links to get you going on this last day of the fiscal year.
