It’s a sad day for Tottenham Hotspur fans. Kyle Walker has officially moved to Manchester City, meaning Spurs have sold their longest-tenured senior player to a direct rival.
Kyle has since released this video to say his goodbye to the club and its fans.

In the video Kyle gives thanks to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, members of the staff, and, of course, to the fans. But he notably does not mention Mauricio Pochettino by name or by title. It’s more evidence that this transfer all started with a breakdown of the relationship between Poch and Walker.
But hopefully Spurs fans won’t show too much ill-will towards Walker now that he has left. We can’t really hate him for wanting to triple his salary while also moving closer to home. The move leaves a bad taste in our mouths, but Spurs fans should remember Kyle Walker for all the good he did at our club. He clearly cherishes those memories too.
Walker will go on tour with Manchester City next week, and thus he’ll be in their squad when they face Spurs in Nashville on July 29th.
