Another Tottenham third kit has leaked, and this one is probably real

Honest, this time. For serious. It’s been posted by Footy Headlines.

Remember the halcyon days of Sunday, when an image of Tottenham Hotspur’s Spurple camouflage third kit for 2017-18 was released and we all sighed in relief because it was classy, understated, and a nice shade of purple?

WELP. New images of Spurs’ third kit from next season have leaked both on Kitman and (more importantly) Footy Headlines, and while it’s still purple, it’s, um, quite a bit different than the last one we posted.

So, yeah, they’re technically purple, I guess, but it’s a much deeper purple than what we’ve gotten used to seeing from a Spurs third kit. The camouflage pattern is much more geodesic and with larger segments than I had come to expect. And the yellow accents? Wow. Okay.

Diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks, of course, but I’m taking back all the good things I said about Nike earlier. This kit is a monstrosity. I think I may dislike them initially more than I did the half-gray/black third kits from 2012-2013.

This is the last kit rumor post I’m going to do before the third kits are officially released by the club. First, I’m tired of writing them, and there have been more, better fakes that have emerged this offseason compared to previous. Second, when Footy Headlines posts something about an upcoming kit you can pretty much take it to the bank, so I think it’s safe to say that these really are the new third kits. Which is weird, considering Spurs already have a dark change kit, and this doesn’t seem to be all THAT different from the dark blue aways.

But whatever. Here you go. Put your reactions in the comments.
