Another departure! Tottenham Hotspur announced today via their social media channels that Spurs academy graduate Will Miller is leaving on a permanent transfer to Championship side Burton Albion. The fee was not disclosed.

You might remember that Miller spent the whole of last season on loan at Burton, where he was reportedly well liked by the manager. He was on the plane to Spurs’ preseason International Champions Cups each of the past two seasons, but he made a bigger splash in 2015 where he filled in at left back and played quite well.
It’s a good move for Will — he unfortunately has no shot at cracking Spurs’ first team, but he’s a solid player. Burton finished 20th last season and could use a player of his abilities to stay up again. And if this whole football thing doesn’t work out, he still has acting to fall back on — as we’ve mentioned before, Will had a starring role as Oliver Twist in a BBC television adaptation a decade ago.
Good luck, Will!
