Hello, Hoddlers! Welcome to 2018!
It’s a bit funny to say that since the Western United States and parts nearby will still be in 2017. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoyed/is enjoying the holiday!
As for me, I am already thinking up warmer destinations to ring in 2019. The very chilly New York weather has not been fun — and I spent my day inside!
Additionally, happy January transfer window! (I have no idea if that is “happy” or not; let’s just pretend it is for now.)
Anyway, for my first ramble of 2018 (which is technically my last ramble of 2017 because I wrote it before it was 2018, but whatever).
Ramble of the Day
Here’s a tiny little ramble to start off the year.
There was a cool little story on New Year’s Eve involving a Hawaiian Airlines flight. Per Popular Mechanics, a flight from Auckland, New Zealand took off at 12:05 a.m. on January 1, 2018 and was scheduled to land in Honolulu, Hawaii, at 9:45 a.m. on December 31, 2017.
The flight was actually supposed to take off before the new year in Auckland, but was delayed to a very cool result.
Yes, I’m thinking of hitting up either spot next year already. (Auckland may have the edge since I’ve already been to Honolulu.)
Now, for our first set of links of the year (which is again my last set of 2017, but who cares?).
Links of the Day
Ashley Young and Kyle Naughton will begin 2018 with three match bans after some reckless action to close out 2017.

2017 went out on a low for Mark Warburton, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest.
